Why Forgive

R/A: This book I'm reading is called "Why Forgive". The main characters in the book is Brenda. Brenda is getting sexually abused by her uncle. Brenda reacts as a victim and stays quiet.

(F): Brenda decided not to tell her family but to tell her friend. Anne who lost two of her children who got shot by the same bullet.

(F): Brenda stays quiet because her uncle said if she tell the police he going to kill her but. Brenda's friend Anne say to Brenda "forgive him for what he did to you". But Brenda say "no for what he did to me and. I'll never forgive him.

(T): This means that Brenda should tell the police so that she can live her life better instead of just getting rape or sexually abused by her crazy uncle.

Chapter 5

1. What is one word you would you use to describe Mrs. Watson?

Mrs. Watson is mean. She burned her son's finger because he went in to the bathroom and lock himself in to the bathroom and she caught him with matches. Mrs. Watson raised her right hand and said to her son Byron, " I wont have you putting this family in danger. Just once more, Byron Watson, one more time and you're burned". She also said to Byron " I swear that with god as my witness!"

She mean because if she was my mother i would had done the same thing. That Joey did becasue of couse she care about my brother. But i would had mad sure my brother never play with matches. In the story Byron was playing with matches and his morther caught him.

2. What is one word you would you use to describe Mr. Watson?

Mr. Watson is a joker. Most of what he's done so far in the book is crack jokes. On p 3, Kenny says"...we knew dad was going to try to make us forget about being cold by cutting up". On p 16, Mr. Watson ca hardly stop laughing when Byron gets hid lips stuck to the care cause he was kissing the windshield. These examples both show that one way Kenny dad deal with bad situations is by laughing
